TERMS AND CONDITIONS
When applying for PWG membership, the Member confirms that she/he has read and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
As a Member of PWG, the Member agrees to conduct themselves in a professional and business-like manner, treating other members with respect at all times. If PWG should receive a complaint about any Member’s behaviour, PWG reserves the right to suspend that Member’s membership. Such complaints would constitute a breach of these Terms and Conditions.
Membership of PWG is for a contract term of 12 months and is subject to payment of the membership fee each year.
Members will receive a reminder to renew their membership. If, after one reminder, the membership fee has not been paid, the member will be considered to have resigned.
Membership fees are non-refundable.
PWG reserves the right to review and change the membership fee from time to time, but guarantees that any fee change will only come into effect during a member’s new contract term.
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The Annual General Meeting shall be convened once a year by the PWG Executive Committee. The AGM is for members only.
Members will receive notification of the AGM, including the agenda, via written or electronic mail at least 21 days before the AGM.
The Executive Committee strongly encourages members to attend the annual AGM. The meeting will be held in-person and is free of charge.
To ensure adequate attendance and voting numbers, members are asked to register to attend the AGM.
In the event of a member needing to cancel their attendance, a written cancellation should be sent to email@example.com 48 hours prior to the start of the AGM.
Events & Workshops
PWG will endeavour to provide members with a variety of events and workshops throughout the year.
Fees maybe required to attend some events or workshops. Members shall pay a discounted price. Non-members will be charged the full price.
PWG’s cancellation policy is applicable to all events and workshops that involve a reservation and/or a monetary payment.
Members and non-members are required to send to firstname.lastname@example.org a written cancellation 48 hours prior to the start of the event/workshop.
Without your cancellation notice, PWG is unable to change its financial commitments (i.e. food, drink and other venue costs) it has made after the 48 hours deadline.
Without a written cancellation, PWG reserves the right to charge you the corresponding full payment.
Likewise PWG reserves the right to charge you for full payment if you have registered for an event or workshop but do not attend without informing email@example.com. No-Shows (members and non-members), who have paid in advance and do not attend the event, will not be refunded.
Refunds & Credit Notes
Refunds for workshops will be gladly issued for written cancellations received by the time specified under ‘Cancellations’.
At the request of the member, a credit note could also be issued.
Main events will not be refunded, only a credit note will be issued, again when written cancellations are received by the time specified under ‘Cancellations’.
Payment of membership fees, events, and workshops can be made either via bank transfer or online using our 3rd party processor, Stripe.
By entering your payment information and submitting your order, you authorise PWG and Stripe to charge the amount of the order.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Swiss law. The parties agree to amicably resolve all disagreements relating to the application or interpretation of these Terms and Conditions. If these disagreements cannot be amicably resolved, the parties will submit them for consideration to the cantonal court of Basel-Stadt.
