Just arrived in a new country, lots of paperwork and rules have to be understood, digested and overcome to be able to start doing what you love to do. Even if you have already been here some time and were able to get through that first phase of adaptation, it is not easy to find the information you need to do your next step in terms of getting a job or starting your own thing.

Work permissions and how this relates and intertwines with starting your own business define your radius of action. We want to know this in all details.

Karin Sartorius from the Basel Stadt Standortförderung, a department specializing in the promotion of the business location Basel, is sharing her knowledge and expertise, answering the questions we all have around permissions and rules.
