Professor in Accounting

At The Basel School of Business, our part-time faculty are practitioner-scholars who foster tomorrow’s business leaders through expertise in their respective discipline, an engaging teaching style, and a strong commitment to our students.

The successful candidate must have:

  • a CPA, CMA or equivalent from an accredited university, a doctorate in accounting would be a plus
  • androgogical or pedagogical training (SVEB certificate or equivalent is a strong plus)
  • excellent organizational and communications skills
  • the ability to successfully contribute to a team effort
  • a genuine love of teaching

Strong preference will be given to applicants who have:

  • relevant industry experience
  • university teaching experience
  • references from prior students (those are the best)
  • an understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of business  

The Basel School of Business offers a position as lecturer for Accounting courses.

Your essential responsibilities will include:

  • teaching one or more courses within accounting, based on the prescribed curriculum
  • encouraging scholarship through experiential learning
  • fostering constructive debate through stimulating class discussions
  • developing, administering, and grading assessments
  • remaining current with new trends and developments in your field of expertise

Pharmaceutical Management

  • Healthcare systems and policy decision, which focuses on the point of view of the policy makers, their constraints and decision making processes
  • Creating and communicating value in the pharma industry, which follows the drug development life cycle starting from drug development to commercialization, ensuring maximum value added
  • Market access goes deeper into the value creation, focusing on the payers’ perspective and the principles of pharmaco-economics
  • Globalization and localization in pharma industry explains the necessity to adapt to the changing market, while taking into account the global effect of local decisions
